Recently, we've been lucky enough to be working with award-winning property developers,
Allied London. So, naturally, we've been doing our research and following their other projects too. If
they haven't been on your radar up until now, make sure you check them out because they have
a whole host of exciting upcoming projects, which are generally designed to improve the way
we live and work in Britain. But today, we're here to tell you about their upcoming development,
'Enterprise City', to be situated in the new St John's neighbourhood, Manchester.

Enterprise City is set to be a new cluster of city centre workspaces, designed to support growth and opportunity
by mixing start-ups with leading-edge anchor institutions. It's true that the way we do business in the
21st century is rapidly evolving with a huge rise in numbers of coworkers and startups, plus a new
emerging attitude towards work/life balance. As an independent business ourselves, we've really seen the
benefit of being in a co-working space, around other inspiring businesses and people;
where, we not only reap the advantages of a strong network of creatives to collaborate with but also find
ourselves part of a great community and social hub. Hence, we think this new location of enterprise and
leisure is a really exciting step in making sure Manchester's catering for this new era of business.

So, last Wednesday we took ourselves along to the Enterprise City UK launch festival to find out a bit more. The festival
was held in the Old Granada Studios, which is one of the sites to be repurposed within the St John's development,
promising to host pop-up shops, markets, bars and food stalls, plus live music and theatre. Of course, the launch was
a precursor to this with talks from innovative creatives, workshops with makers and some great Q&A sessions
with experienced professionals. Plus a sneak peak at some of the future retail and leisure units.

Walking in, we were greeted by a mini exhibition, detailing the plans for the first phase of development.
We read of new city-centre apartments, exclusive hotels, flexible workspaces, events venues, cafes, shops and
restaurants galore! And, after watching some of the future leisure operators pitch their concepts on the
'Innovation Stage' at the festival, we're hoping that the site's going to be populated with
quirky independents rather than the same big chains we've seen time and time again.

So, all in all, we're pretty excited to see how this one's going to develop and we hope it's
successful in creating opportunity for all sorts of businesses to thrive and flourish.
